how good are the T/C bolt action rifles?

love my encore frames and also love my venture's they all fit me great and I'm very comfortable with them, been trying to pick up an icon to add to the collection.

I've got a thompson Center venture on the EE, it has a guaranteed 1 Moa and a 3.5-5 pound adjustable trigger. You hardly ever see that for the price it is.

I have my father in laws Venture in 3006 it shoots nice but the bolt comes all the way out when it is cycled.
has it been sent in for the recall???? if not send it in and let them know of your problem so they can fix it at the same time. they payed shipping both ways and I had them back within two maybe closer to three weeks.

Looked at one of these in .223 at SAIL today...the Dimension model, listed for $550....looked like a $250 rifle, took a pass lol

The Icons were good rifles. Fairly chunky, over built action. I liked the integral base and butter knife bolt handle. Smooth action. The Dimension and Venture are not my cup of tea. No budget rifle is for me though.

No I have not sent it in for the recall. My FIL passed away last year and it is all I have that he owned so it will stay the way it is because I screwed up on a moose because of it and it was our joke.

The Icons were real nice, but seemed a little weighty. The lower prices models compare favourably with most of the other stuff in their price range.
