How good are Weaver K4 scopes

The Weaver K series (new or old El Paso ones) are all I have used for years. They have good optic lenses, look good are available in matt or hi lustre and are priced right. I would back a Weaver choice 100%. In your part of the world a K6 would be just right on the .243 or .308 the K 4 would be my second choice in open country.

I agree, the old Weaver's are bomb proof. My wife has a K4 on her Dad's old Model 88 in .308. That thing has been travelling some hard miles for over 20 years.

I have two variable steel tube El Paso 1.5 to 4's for AR's. They are the #### as well. Can't go wrong with these scopes.

I would say so. They are lighter built than the old stuff, but the optical clarity is wonderful for the price. If you are going to spend anytime in the thick stuff or the mountains, I would select the K4. If you will hunt mostly on the prairie and spend time on the bench, you may prefer the K6. I have an old steel tube K3 that is still kicking. I hope the new series offer the same longevity.

the new weaver K4 &K6 scopes are amazing value for the price. very bright and very light! (10z). eye releif is a little short for some calibers, but not much of a problem.

I love my K6. for opencountry hunting a nice .308/K6 combo is hard to beat

I just installed a K6 on my 760 carbine excellant clarity and looks!I also have a Old K4 Classic on a BLR thats been on at least a half a dozen guns over the last 30 yrs.and has been through some pretty extreme use but has performed flawlessly. If this K6 performs half as well I'll be a happy camper.Question, does anyone know if weaver still offers the center post reticle in their K' series?

I have a K6 on my 308. The eye relief is a bit short, something I could fix by getting a one piece mount. Other than that, very bright and has held zero for 3 years. One of the best bang for the buck scopes out there.
