How is everyones Ont controlled hunt going?

We have seen a few does so far. We got some nasty snow squalls starting yesterday afternoon. This morning there is almost a foot of snow. Neighbors to the north had a few big drives going on yesterday with several dogs, all that came our way was doe's. Today is the last day so we will see how it goes.

PS. Zippo hand warmers are the cat's meow. I had one inside my jacket against my chest and another in a pocket to use on my hands. Both burned for about 13 hours on a full load of fuel.

No deer for us. We had another cold snowy day. All we saw were does today. So ends this year's deer hunting for me. I did manage to shoot 2 big hares after lunch. One went to my hunting buddy and I will cook mine in wine and olive oil after I brush the meat with Dijon mustard. I also saw some foxes chasing squirrels. So it was a good closing day.

Good luck to you Superbad. I hope you bag one. As you said, there are no bad days in the woods!

5 deer 2 coyotes so far. Today was a littel rough with the wind and blowing snow hard to see at times. Tomorrow should be a great hunt.

I didn't hunt November but my party got nothing then. For our Dec. hunt in a different WMU I did hunt and we got skunked again! First year for 0 in both months :( Coyotes were everywhere the first few days of Dec, I even have some pics on my trail cam of a deer running by with a coyote hot on it's trail! On the Tuesday one guy took a crack at a Doe but hit the ground between her legs (also missed 2 coyotes Mon and Tues morning. Decided to clean his gun that night and nailed a yote on Wednesday, (keep them guns clean folks...). Had some deer walk off a field and pass by one guy but at 6:20am was way too dark to try a shot. In 4 weeks of gun hunting since 2014 the only live deer I've seen was one that bedded down behind my stand one morning and I kicked it up walking back for lunch :( This year I didn't even see any interesting wildlife, previously I saw my first red fox and also had a large bird of prey (hawk or eagle) land on a branch 5 feet from me in my tree stand, stare me down for a few seconds then take off!

A very bad deer season for us, we had 9 tags and we were only able to fill 3, a lot of coyotes almost everywhere in southern ontario, I am going to woods almost every weekend from late September till now, just saw only one hare during these three to 4 months, hare population drastically decreasing so pressure is on deer population.

In the controlled hunt, if group size is limited to 4 and each member has to have one buck tag, can more than four animals be taken?
I'm a new land owner in 76A and would like to know if I can expand our opportunities.

No unless you were able to buy additionaltags. One deer per hunter
