How is 'scope height' measured in ballistic charts?

Is it measured from the centre of the barrel (ie: where the tip of the bullet would be), to the centre of the scope?
or is it measured from where the bases mount on the receiver to the centre of the scope?
Most charts allow for a 1.5" scope height, just wondering how to attain this measurement exactly.

I thought it was bore centre to scope cemtre, just want to make sure. I think I'm 1 1/8" from top of reciever to scope centre. Will remeasure to centre of bore, should be about 1 1/2" or so.

1/2 of bell diameter + 1/2 of adjacent barrel diameter + distance between bell and barrel = center to center distance.

Yup, center-to-center distance. And it all depends on your scope mounts/bases.

Then scope hight wasn`t a concern .

(technically it is line of sight to bore centre at the muzzle).
