How is the KelTec KS7 shotgun

Does anyone own the KelTec KS7 shotgun? How's its reliability and performances? Does it work for hunting?

I briefly had one. Initial reliability was junk. It would jam and drop rounds. However after a couple dozen rounds it seemed to tighten up. I sold it to a friend of a friend. Never heard anything bad about it after.

I'm not sure how the huntability would be. Probably not the greatest. It's a nice compact feeling shotgun.

Kicks worse than any other gun I have shot.

I upgraded mine to have a better recoil pad, accept chokes, and a flat top rail.

It's very reliable for me, but honestly I only use it for a tight bush rabbit gun.

It's not a fun gun to shoot.

Well the butt pad does help.

But short of weighing the gun down and wearing a heavier coat....

Agreed and I've done the recoil pad and rail.

I love the look of the carry handle but it is like a half inch too low, you really have to crush your face into it to get a good sight picture (Or maybe it's my face shape, I don't know, everyone else that tried it didn't love it either so yeah...).

Damn thing makes you smile holding it. Makes you grimace shooting it. It's one of my novelty guns. I would choose a standard 870 any day of the week for any real purpose.
