How Lefty a Friendly Is The T97?

Surprized that nobody has come up with a deflector for lefthand use yet. A old thread here showed a homemade one a guy made. Not sure how good it worked. There was a lefthand deflector supposedly available for that bullpup sniper rifle that was available not too long ago, but never saw one.

I won't buy a T97 until a proper lefthand deflector is available. Then again I could just buy a Tavor with the lefty bits if I just wanted a bullpup.

i have a buddy who can shoot mine left handed, he just keeps his head back lol. making a deflector for it wouldnt be very hard tho

I'm a lefty. And I own one...I only fire it right. Certainly can't be used as a lefty with a proper sight line.
I probably should sell it, but it looks so good in the collection...

Well that sucks.... Thanks guys. Guess I'll have to keep saving for a Tavor if I have my heart set on a bull pup.

It's your best bet.
A friend was shooting my T97 right handed all day. The last mag he forgot and shouldered it to the left. An empty casing popped him in the face leaving a little gash.
Safe to say he won't be forgetting again.

Ya a coworker was telling me how he was a lefty but shoots right handed just as good... Turned my back for 5min and he came over with a split lip from getting smacked with a case... I'd say if you check the T97 sticky at the top of the page you'll see a homemade shell deflector that's DIY friendly on the last few pages...

Personally I'd just buy an RFB if I were you ;)

Not unless you like getting hot brass in the teeth, mine just hurled the brass, shooting at 50 yards the brass was lying 30 yards out from the firing line. Sold it because the ergos didn't work at all for me, don't really miss it.

A dealer once tried to convince me it could be shot left handed. I shouldered it, looked down at the port next to my chin, laughed.
