How long ago did they stop making Crosman 22 Wadcutters?

Hey guys~back in the day...I used these pellets (.177 and .22) and Bulldog .177. I remember preferring the wadcutters for pest work...and it would be great if there were any still around. I just bought a Diana 24 in .22.

Long shot (VERY long shot) but are there any retailers selling older makes of pellets?

Did they use to come in a small 250ml milk container? I remember them if so and i think you can still buy them my local home hard ware may have a few packs.

I haven't seen .22 Crosman wadcutters in a long time. I have some from other manufacturers though. I think Grizzly, RWS and one other I'll have to look.

If memory serves, they were originally a small...heavy-duty..zip-loc style bag. Last pack I bought (long time ago) was in a blister pack.

On a related note~if I knew what 22 cal hunting pellet might offer decent expansion @ 430fps (Sub-PAL), I'd consider that. I'm shooting barn pigeons..and have found that the wadcutters do a nice amount of damage at slower speeds. Domed/pointed pellets pass right through and while that's OK, my impression is that the "wound channel" is smaller. More..."instant" results with the wadcutters. Anything else? They tend to need 30-60 seconds to realize their life of sh***ing on hay has reached it's end.

I have one of those "milk cartons" of .177 wadcutters for my old Crosman 1008. Great pellets! I too have looked for a .22 version for my 1322 to no avail. Why would they not make them? I use the Premier Pointed and Piranha 14.3g .22cal pellets because they are easy to pick up @ PA and the gun seems to like them.

Crosman .22 wadcutter pellets may not be available. An alternative is RWS .22 wadcutters.

I remember many starlings, squirrels and pigeons falling to Crosman .22 Wadcutters. Sold my air rifle shortly after they stopped making them.

I haven't seen the cheap blister pack is years. Used to love them, under $0.01 per shot in .177 if you shopped around.
I think they dropped their lower end line, seems like the Premier line replaced them.

I just dug up my one and only pack of 500 .22 Crosman wadcutters. Bought them around 1978. Half gone. The only pellets I ever used in my 1322.

I prefer the dome 14.3gr Crosman in handguns/carbines.

Daisy makes a wadcutter as well.Crosman isn't selling the 14.3gr domes in the cardboard bulk box either.Had to order 10 tins in the mail.
