How long do I wait?

Just received a rifle in the mail from a fellow CGN'er. In our email back and forth I was told that the rifle had an upgraded trigger (Jewell) installed. When I received the rifle it was found to have the factory trigger installed. I contacted the seller about it, and I was told that he had paid a gunsmith himself to have it installed, he said he would look into it for me, I have not gotten any updates from him in over a week, other than when I texted him to ask, his reply was. " still waiting to hear back from them, they are looking into it"

How long do I wait before I leave they only negative feedback he has, in 50 feedback????

How far do I take this, after all it's a $250ish dollar part?

There are other ways to work amicably to resolve the issue of the trigger that don't result in negative feedback.
Since they didn't do the work they could be in a situation like you were they have to wait.
Now once they know, it really depends on how the seller reacts. Most sellers if they value their reputation will be the one to approach you with a solution.
But I know it can suck to wait but give it a bit more time(I'd say a weeks worth give or take), people do have lives and can't just drop everything to follow up on a single thing at once.

I will give him a couple more days. Then I will leave my feedback. And look into what else can be done. He also has not picked up the rifle I sent him, it's sitting athere Purolator waiting for him, and will be sent back to me in a day or so if he doesn't pick it up. And no, I don't believe one word he is saying.

That is what he is saying. He gave the gunsmith the trigger to install, and it was given back to him the way it is now.

No problem. Get him to send the new trigger. After all,you bought the rifle on the basis the trigger was installed,so,in reality, you paid for it. If your rifle gets sent back to you,sit tight until he contacts you. Maybe,he's having "buyer's remorse".

1. Please review the rules for use of the EE. Trade related disputes are to be confined to feedback and PMs.

2. Being in possession of a restricted firearm registered to someone other than you? How could it be - it would not have been sent to you unless the transfer had been approved. You should be receiving the registration certificate any time.

Waiting to hear back??
What difference does it make what his gunsmith says. He got caught lying and he's hoping you'll go away.
If he isn't lying and was misinformed, he should have bucked up a week ago.

Cross, nail him to it.
