how long does it take you to reload?

"...I use a scupe..." A what? A Lee scoop? Pitch it and use a scale or powder thrower. The scoops can vary the charge plus or minus a full grain.
Speed with a single stage press is a matter of technique.

fak scoop ,, that's how u spell it. I knew scupe looked wrong.

like i said b4 I only use it when im gona be wasting ammo having some fun shooting things like farm cars. I don't bother with a thrower because i weigh every charge with a digital scale when im loading target or hunting rounds. for me a thrower is a wast of $.

ps. more like + or - 3-4 grains easy. scoops are garbage for accuracy but safe usually being under the max grain. ( usually )

I use a variety of hand tools to load my rifle calibers. If I am starting with good clean brass It would take me two evenings to load 100 rounds with my Lee hand press, Lyman 310 or Lee Loader. If the brass has been fired more than once and needs cleaning and trimming then add on another evening.

Sometimes I use Lee scoops to throw my powder charges and sometimes I weigh them but I never go to a max charge.

I do not consider re-loading to be a speed event.

loading

I too like to do it in stages as I take my time. Right now I'm loading for varmint season so 204 and some 223. I like to resize about 100 per session. Then I hand prime with a Lee the next day. Then I will charge them with powder and seat the bullet, usually 50 rounds before my neck starts to hurt.

Tried this Nosler brass that they say you can load right out of the box, chambered a couple and so I gave it a try and things worked out just fine.

The folks at Nosler make some pretty bold statements about their brass, like their 223 test where they load it and fire it 36 times with no trouble, hope this is the truth. Be nice to get 20 plus loads from the 204 ruger I bought. FS
