I try to make a long story short, A month ago Henry repeating arms ship me a front sight by the mail ( charge 7.50$US shipping fee to me), it charge on my credit card, 2 week ago I shipped a e-mail to inquire what happen he say my sight is probably stock at the border ???? For now I pay 33$ on my credit card and I have nothing.

I now lot of guys here have experience with the US shipping do you thing I have some chance to receive my sight or I just lose my money????

P.S. when they ship me a screw i received it on less of a week.

It shouldn't take much longer ! Anything crossing the border has a chance it will get hung up in customs for a couple of days depending on the work load. Just finishing with the xmas rush things could still get delayed.

I have found a huge variance in shipping times from the US approximatly 1 in 30 packages actually get's held up and opened . I have had items arrive in 4 days and the longest i have waited is 43 days from ship date .

Ya i find stuff gets to me faster from Say Texas than bloody Quebec a guy on ebay who sells lots of gun parts from Quebec sent a very small parcel on the 30th dec and i still havent got it, Charged me like $14 to send it parcel post.

He could of put it in an express post plastic pre paid envlope for like $10

I buy stuff from the U.S alot and usally the longest is two weeks and there USPS is way cheeper than our Rip off Can Post

According to U.S. law, scopes, sights, bases, & rings are controlled items regulated by the Commerce Dept.

The Commerce Dept Requires U.S. export permits on ALL the above listed items.

The place you are getting the sight from may not know this (they should as they can be in a world of sh*t if caught shipping without permits), and your package could have been seized on the U.S. side of the border.

If you do get it, consider yourself lucky it got through.

SKBY.

Like the others have had fairly fast and somethings have had to wait up to 6 weeks size and price don't matter either. The fastest was two
Burris Scopes came in 5 days. Was nothing fancy about it or how it was packaged or shipped. One Item less than $5.00 USD was 27 days it was opened at the boarder paid duty plus the $5.00 CDN for having it inspected at customs cost me more than the piece damn near.
Thanks Ken
