How long for Reg. Certificate?

I had a firearm transferred to me about 3 weeks ago and got a letter saying that the transfer had been processed and the registration certificate will be sent to me in a separate envelope.

3 weeks later I still haven't received the certificates and the gun is on its way and I want to be able to take it out when it arrives.

Is this a typical waiting time or could something be wrong?

EDIT: I should note, it is a restricted.
 
I think they run them off in batches a couple times a month. I registered 3 guns one day and two others the next day.

I got the Certs for the first 3 in a couple weeks and then the two others along with one I registered a week later in 4 or 5 weeks.

Yes, I was newly liscenced and went on a bit of a buying spree. Thanks to the EE!
