Just curious.
Here in Ontario, most WMU's have seasons that last either One week or two.

BTW if you ARE from Ontario, check the regs this year. Major changes have been made to some areas. They have moved the dates on some, lengthened a few, and generally screwed up a few folks that hunted more than one area of the province.

We have a lot of moose hunting opportunity in Sask. Populations are booming in the farmland, with more draw licences available each year. Forest moose are not doing as well, actually in trouble in some areas. The far north populations are generally OK but low densities compared to more fertile habitats. Distance makes them generally inaccessible.
Sask resident draw antlerless: archery, muzzleloader, crossbow, shotgun and rifle Oct. 15 - Nov. 14
Sask resident draw either ###: archery, muzzleloader, crossbow, shotgun and rifle Oct. 1 - Oct. 14, Nov. 1 - Nov. 14
Sask resident regular bull moose: archery, muzzleloader, crossbow, shotgun and rifle Forest zones 55-69: Oct. 15 - Oct. 31, Nov. 20 - Nov. 30
Sask resident regular bull moose ( Also guided moose ) : archery, muzzleloader, crossbow, shotgun and rifle: Far north zones 70-76: Sept. 1 - Nov. 30

Most areas in NL runs from second weekend in Sep to end of Dec. some areas from beg of Oct to second week of Jan. And a few run to end of Feb.

New Brunswick currently has a five-day moose season in late September. Seriously...

This is only the second year since they increased it. Before that it was 3-day. Despite the short length, the success rate of hunters had been over 80% in recent years. We have a limited-draw to obtain a moose license and it's really hard to win.

There is talk changes may come to give two separate seasons for 2017 with three-day windows for two consecutive weeks but nothing has been decided yet. So that's the situation as of now

When I first hunted moose in BC, the season for any bull moose started on Sept. 1 and ran until Dec. 15.

We are under a major moose decline here. I blame years of no spring bear hunt.
The bear hunt is back, although it is stated it may not be permanent.
We really need to whack a bunch of bears. They are the number one predator of moose calves in the spring.
