How long is your trigger squeeze?

I have only shot the with an accutrigger while testing out some loads for someone else's rifle. I found the trigger to be good, but the "break" felt some what rounded off, not crisp like a broken icicle. Reminded me of a well tuned Ruger trigger.

No one else finds this?

Anyways, my trigger pull consists of getting things lined up, applying about half the pressure needed to break the trigger then when things are good a little more pressure until it breaks. About 3 seconds total.

Yes, I agree. AAMOF, I am not particularly fond of the Accutrigger. But then again, if one shoots rifles with very good standard triggers, the Accutrigger has no particular advantage. If someone likes them, more power to 'em, I say. Just not for me! My "hunting" triggers are tuned to about 2¾ - 3 lbs, and crisp. BR rifles wear 2 oz triggers. Certain competitions limit trigger pull to no less than 2 lbs. In any case, the triggers must be crisp, without any creep. Regards, Eagleye

You will settle yourself into position and breathe prior to the release of your shot. As you complete your breath and exhale to the half way point (or to where comfortable), you begin applying pressure to the trigger. From beginning to apply pressure to the trigger, until a 'surprise' release is achieved, the time should be from 3-5 seconds as previous posters have stated. Getting much longer then that, usually around 8 seconds is where tremors begin from the body not breathing normally.

I adjusted my trigger to a very low resitance and then started to retrain myself. Now my shots break exactly when I am applying a minute amount of pressure. My trigger has become a rest for my finger until I have aquired my perfect line to target. I exhale when I am satisfied, then my finger just moves on instinct. No more surprise about when the shot breaks, but rather total familarity.
