So my stainless media arrived yesterday and I'm looking to break to debur it but how long should it take. the only reference to it I'm finding on stainlesstumblingmedia.com is a couple of times.
As I'm currently using the little rock tumbler for this I've put in a pound of media each in drum with 8 oz of brass that is garbage and I don't care if it chews it up in each as well.

Should I run this set up time 2 or 3 times for apx 3 hrs each to debur the media or run just the media for say 6 hrs to do the job.

Anyone have any solid ideas about this?

thanks

I just ran my first batch for 2 hours with only pins, soap, and Lemishine.
After that I started running batches of brass with no ill effects.
The first few times you may get some pins stuck in the flash holes.
Discard any pins that are stuck since they are out of spec.
The longer you have your media the less and less pins you will find stuck in the flash holes.
My media is now 4 years old and I almost never find any stuck pins,

i just got one for christmas and set up last night. i ran just the pins lemi shine and dish soap for 5 hours. i just put my first batch in half an hour ago. well see how it turns out.

my brass came out juts very slightly beavered.

I just stuck in my pins and bunch of brass and it let go to town.

Maybe the first couple of loads had a bit of roughness to the cases but I wasn't concerned with it.

Everything is good now. Been using it for probably 3 or 4 years now.
