how long until clay targets disintegrate?

Just for curiosity's sake, does anyone know roughly how long these targets last outdoors once they've been shot?

I mean they can't last forever otherwise there would be piles of them at the ranges, so what kind of time frame are we talking about? days/weeks?

at least a year unless you rototill them in...

There is some at my local club that have been sitting around for a while. Just make sure they dont get too wet.

You see pieces around the range all the time. Some of them have most likely been there for at least a year.

I wonder about Lawry clays though....they are made of Calcium Carbonate and Pitch. They claim to be environmentally friendly. I wonder if they degrade faster than others when exposed to humidity.
