How many have Antique Percussion pistols??

Just wondering how many gun nuts use and like Real Antique percussion pistols?
Not to say there better or worse than Cartridge Handguns.
The fact that a round ball of soft lead is a wicked projectile that causes more damage than a regular lead bullet and that our great grand parents were not as under armed as one might think.
I have a 44 Cal rogers and spencer and its about the best made gun ya ever seen.
Its like brand new outa the box but compared to a brand new Ubreti Navy armys repo of ANY old gun its 100 times better in everyway.

The old gun makers were the Best craftsmen and true artisans of there time.

I use a .36 cal. Manhattan and a Colt 1849 pocket .31 cal. Using .69 cal. military pistols is good too. Some frail ones still get a charge just for smoke & giggles. Pepperboxes seem a little spooky. All good fun..

I have a Savage, a Colt Navy and a Remington but don't shoot them in competition because the Savage so far does not shoot particularly accurately for me and the Colt shoots about 3 feet high at 25 yards (cowboys were taller in those days :>) ) I also have some flint and percussion smoothbores but while I have shot them, they are of limited valued for target shooting with only a front sight. Also have a restocked British .58 military pistol but it shoots over 1 foot high at 50 yards. The only one that I have shot on trails a bit is an over under Belgian pistol roughly .53 caliber that is relatively accurate even though the rifling sort of wanders down the barrel.

Mr Mooncoon, i think seeing a savage even go through a series of blank shots would put a smile on my face even 50 hours at my work place would be unable to shake..
