How many magazines come with the NP29s?

How many magazines come with the NP29s? It doesn't say on the Norinco site.

Depends.

I believe that Marstar sells them with one mag.

I have also seen one in a shop with two mags new.

Mine came with one magazine, serial numbered to the pistol, plus a "2". I assume that there was a "1" somewhere at some time. What happened to it is anyone's guess. Don't worry about it - the original magazines are inferior to aftermarket ones. I obtained some Metalforms, and their function and quality are excellent.

If you buy from Marstar, it comes with one mag only. An extra Norc mag will cost you $25 plus tax.

If you buy from Lever Arms or Armco, it comes with 2 mags. But the price of the gun is higher. Both Marstar and Armco offers warranty. No warranty at all from Lever Arms.

Metalform 9mm mags at Brownells is at USD24 each. It has the flat follower & removable base. Just ordered from them and will see how good they are. Reviews on Metalform 1911 mags on M1911.org were actually not so good......

I've been happy with my NP29 and all these brands of magazines:

Pachmyer (read : MecGar)
Colt Factory (looks like a MecGar contract)
MetalForm
MecGar

P&D Ent (a sponsor of our board) sold me 4 of the MecGar 9mm 1911 magazines and I've been happy with them. $ 30 give or take, if I recall.

Ah, ok... I ask as it sounds like Gunnar may not be getting any in stock, so was comparing the value of getting one right from marstar.

It just sucks to have to pay shipping to Gunnar and back right after I pay shipping to get it to me from Marstar.

Is there some way to get it shipped directly to Gunnar from Marstar?

Nope.... The registration and the gun have to go directly to your address, I think. But since you are in Ontario, it is actually not that big a detour...
