How many Magazines?

I really like the idea of enough to carry a box, plus 1 spare...
Nothing too insane for me, and I only am a hobbyist, only get out to shoot once or twice a month, and a good stockpile of ammo for me is 500 rounds lol

Guessing you haven't spent much time off the range with that get up.

OP, I'd go with at least 6. Most black badge, competitions, or other courses I've seen recommend a minimum of 5. Always better to have at least 1 spare just in case.

Army my friend. Issued tac vest only held four, overseas the load out was extended to 12 or more mags. I just got used to having that many magazines. If you can't hump it go without it I guess but as I said that's my deal. Happy shooting.

Sorry to quote a second time but I did state I had no idea how many magazines for matches or courses I use. Just saying :D

No worries, just not many people use that many mags. I only carried 10-11 C7 and 4 9mm on my tours. I just like to ask because a lot of people think they can carry that with kit, and are sorely mistaken after a few km's. Hope you're not getting hit too bad with the snow right now like we are :(

No worries, moving with kit and load out sure makes you thank the gods for 5.56x45mm instead of that many 7.62x51mm magazines. I always felt sorry for the C9 gunners packing their boxes or when it was my turn hump her around. As for the snow...... its ugly 2 feet in my yard and more on the forecast. Roads are crap to but such is life. Have a good man.
