Looking to get a 10 rounder for my rifle (came with a 4 from factory) Having said that, is it worth it for me to be buying 2 or more? or is it unnecessary?

If the local Ottawa zombie population is abnormally high or if you feel you have a gap in your display case that your buddies have pointed out, I would say yes, get more mags. If you have empty pouches in your load-bearing tactical vest, you definitely need more mags. If you have extra ammunition rolling around with no place to live, you most certainly need more mags - it's their home. Don't you want them to have a home?

:p ;)

At some matches, you are required to do mag changes at certain stages so I would say 3 will work. I would make it 4 in total, I had one get sticky at a match and loaned one to another shooter at another match.

:redface:Sorry, thought this was under black rifles!

This is a good start. This was taken months ago, it has more in it now.

I have 18 mags for my ar-15 and 17 mags for my pistol (12 are full capacity in USA too). I had three for my r700 and 2 for my DT (waiting on new mags to be available in Canada).

I have four mags and wouldn't mind another one or two.

I guess it depends what you use your rifle for. At my local PRS club the most rounds I have fired on a stage is sixteen I think so my mags can hold more than enough.

I would feel comfortable with fewer magazines if I could top load them while they were in the gun. For example my factory Tikka T3 mag holds three rounds and to top it off is a bit of an ordeal where I have to drop the mag, hold the loaded rifle and the mag, dig out some loose rounds, reload, and put the mag back in. I bought a five rounder now so I can just change magazines.
