Theres the M1919A4 in 7.62. Not mag fed but belt fed and if you use origional cloth belts, theres no capacity restrictions either. Mind you, it may not be the ideal hunting gun unless you are prepared to dig a trench, sandbag the gun, and wait.
ARVN & some African armies (S Africa & Rhodesia) were lugging these around like a GPMG in the bush. Just hook it onto a heavy duty rifle sling, put a customized mono pod on & you can carry one around just like a M60 or Mag58.
I did this in the Candian Army back in the 70's. Used to leave a short belt in the gun-Just in case! No mono-pod though the No.2 would haul the tripod.
