Trying to put together a PC for 3 gun. Before you say anything I prefer the carrier to having everything on my belt or even to a chest rig. I plan to run my cr speed belt with pistol holster and 4 mag pouches as i do in IPSC but with the added PC have my shotgun caddies high and rifle mags low. Will be using double ended LAR mags so 10 rounds to each end and 20 to each "mag". I'm wondering if anyone has experience with the HSGI 2XRP. This is the double rifle taco with pistol piggybacked. This would bring my round count to 70 pistol and 120 rifle. I'm considering that or just getting the double rifle shingle and trying to squeeze another 2 pistol pouches on the belt. would honestly rather them on my chest but worried that with double rifle pouches and the added pistol on top I'm one step over the line in terms of bulk factor.
Any advice is appreciated, thanks in advance.

Don’t know this rig, but your pistol and rifle belt round count is about double what you would typically need for even the largest stages. Lot of needless weight and bulk you’d be lugging around on your belt. All that extra weight and bulk is especially a pain if you have to go through a tunnel or belly crawl or something.

I prefer to carry everything on my belt. Usually one double bladetech rifle mag pouch for coupled LAR mags, double bladetech pistol mag pouch, plus 26 shotgun and holster will do it. And will carry an extra double rifle mag and double pistol pouches and small dump bag for extra shotgun shells if preloading on the line in my kit bag which I can add or subtract as required.

You're absolutely right about the 2XRP's. They're way to bulky, but I don't even like running double mags on my front but that's just me.

Another thing worth considering, I assume you're referring "rifle low shotgun high" to putting your shotshell carriers above your rifle carriers. This is a common first mistake, anything above your rifle mags will greatly reduce the ability to quickly draw your rifle mags.

While re-thinking yer gear, if funds are not a major issue, suggest you might consider picking up a second dedicated 3 Gun belt.

Found it a pain to keep re-arranging my gear, especially the CR speed mags, on a single belt btwn IPSC pistol, rifle, shotgun and 3 Gun. Nowadays I have my dedicated IPSC pistol belt, a dedicated 3 gun belt and a third belt I can use for IPSC rifle, shotgun or whatever.

Once I get my equipment set-up the way I like it on my belt, I want to keep it that way. Also makes it a lot easier to grab and dry fire practice with for 15-20 minutes.

This is how much I carry.
I would suggest you start with this amount.

4 ten round pistol mags.
4 ten round AR-mags.
16 shotshells in quad-loaders.

That's not including what's loaded in the guns at the start signal.

True.

With a plate-carrier; A much better set-up would be to put all four rifle mags on your left side.
Then you can put all shotshells on the right side.
Your handgun and four pistol mags will stay on your belt.

Will be using double ended LAR mags so 10 rounds to each end and 20 to each "mag".

Just two of those double-ended mags on your chest (plus one in the gun) is plenty.

With 60 rounds; You'll run out of allowed time before you run out of ammo.

All the times I have needed more than 4 x 10 rounds, it generally wasn't because of the # of targets or trying to improve my hits. It's because of a mistake somewhere; either at the end, I realized that I forgot and ran past a bank of un-engaged targets or gotten totally mixed up and engaged a bunch of targets from multiple positions needlessly or forgot that the other end of the coupled mag was fully charged and just ejected it while running...
