From what I've seen at the shows, $300-400 is an asking price. Don't know if they sell at that price.

Eddystone - ERA - marked are the most common. Remmington - R - are next and Winchester -W- Least common.

A question to ask is, doses it have the cutout for the Pedersen device? That is an oval ejection port in the left side of the receiver?

Correct. See http://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qa3623/is_200306/ai_n9289504 for details. It was a bolt replacement, and it also used a dedicated cartridge and mag, sort of the pre-precursor to .30 Carbine.

Yes, but it fired the 30 Carbine load, not the 30-06.

You are generally correct but a few P17's were converted. If this was one that survived, then it could be worth some premium!
