How much does an FN49 go for?

So, on another site, a guy is selling his FN49 in 8mm Mauser. It's in pretty good condition, but he doesn't know how much to sell it for.
Basically I wanna get a good deal, but without ripping him off too much.

Depends on what variant it is. The egyptian ones in 8mm are the most common and also tend to be a bit banged up, the Luxembourg or Belgian models in 30-06 tend to be rarer and be in better shape.

Since the one is in 8mm, its probably Egyptian. in good condition I would say an offer of 800 would be fair.

ive seen them from 600-2000 based on condition and model mags are hard to come buy i got one last year at a gun show for 6 all complete non matching and not bad shape

I would estimate at about 1200$. The Venezuelan ones don't seem to have really been used much and as such most are in VG+ condition.
