How Much is Enough?

I would like to ask all you black rifle owners (especially VZ58 owners) as to how many mags are enough and dare I say.....too much per rifle?!
I have 5 for my VZ and looking for about 5 more.
What do you all think?
And for those with 25+, just how many do you have/need?

Since we're limited to 5 rounds anyways, the more mags the better. You would spend more time shooting than reloading

Mags should be treated as a disposable item, buy plenty and bin them at the first sign of trouble.

I like to keep a minimum of 5 mags per firearm at all times. In the case of the CZ/VZ (where they are packaged in 4's) I guess it would be eight.

That being said... I've got 6 and want to triple the # at least...

I guess it depends on what you are doing. I have three and find that it keeps the pace of shooting at a rate that doesnt hurt my wallet so much.

If you plan on using it for 3 gun competitions you will need at least 6 or 7

Depends on the purpose of the rifle and how much I use it.

For my Stgw 57 aka SIG 510, I have 4 mags (but not enough ammo to fill them all)
Then I have about 8 30 rd and 2 20 rd mags for my SIG 551, looking for more though.

15 mags is a good number esp. with the riduculous 5 round law.

I try to have 5 mags for every gun I own. Four on me and one in the well.

I have 6 5/30 mags for my VZ-58 so far. I plan on buying more. Likely another 14 by the time I'm done.

Imagine if there were no mag limits??? Instead of needing 40 - 60 mags to shoot all day without reloading any mags, you could do it with 5 - 10!

Ok my colt 9mm smg i have 11 32/5 mags and 6 20/5 mags


ak47's I have 5 75rnd/5 drums and 52 30/5 rnd mags


my ar15's i have 27 30/5 mags

my m1 carbines I stopped counting a long time ago but probably 300 + 15/5 rnd mags now and approx 40 30/5 rnd mags ( of course thats for many many many m1 carbines so its not really that many per rifle......
