i was wondering how much it would cost to ship ammo from wholesale sports or wolverinearms to people in the Terrace, Kitimat area of northern B.C.?????
The thing is that i got a few friends that are sick of paying 80$ a box for ammo. They asked me to find out how much it would cost and if it is worth it to ship back ammo from the mentioned retailers
talk to ya all later

Are you talking pistol or rifle? If your friends have a 7.62x39 like SKS, you're in luck through Canada Ammo - they include shipping in the $169 cost for 1120ish rounds :)

Otherwise, phoning the stores involved might be a good idea? Remember it has to come via Canpar or some similar outfit, not Canada Post.

"... sick of paying 80$ a box..." Reloading will make that go away. In any case, shipping charges are based on the weight and size of the package.

I love how everyone says that reloading saves them sooo much. Everyone I know that reloads save absolutely nothing as they realise that they would rather shoot more than have more cash in their jeans. Not that I'm against shooting more for the same price.

It cost the most to setup, But once you got the gear and supplies its much cheaper on the next batch.

I reload 9mm for $5.50 per 50 ( give or take a few cents)... show me a place to buy it for that price and I will reconsider.
primers =3 cents
bullets= $70 a thousand
lb of powder ( tite group) = $29 ( 1750 shells can be loaded with a pound)
you can make a 9mm for about $125 per 1000 candadian.

just the other day I did a batch of 1300 rounds and it cost me less than $140.
mind you, it took me a few hours.... but thats where I take pride in what I have made.
And when I reload for my rifles.. it is the same.... the cost is way cheaper than store prices.. close to half the price.
