I wil be posting this for a friend in the near future.

Remington 870 Wingmaster, excellent condition, 2 3/4" with a factory 25" Skeet barrell.

He wants to trade for something I have, just wondering if I will get a fair dollar for it.

Thanks,

A 12ga. 2-3/4" 870 Skeet (fixed choke) is more like $ 300 - $350 tops in this part of the world.

Bit of hard sell as most of the Skeet crowd today want either
an O/U or semi ... and most upland hunters prefer a 20 or
something a little lighter than a 12 ga. pump.

Then there's the steel shot compatability thing ....

But - if you like them, you can break a lot of Skeet targets
with an 870 pump ! :D

Yeah, a skeet gun will be heavier than an upland gun needs to be, and there's always the chance that it's had THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS of rounds through it. A specialist's tool, with the subsequently small market.

What gauge? If it's a 12 or 20 in excellent condition with a VERY nice piece of wood on it then $400 is about right. If it's a 28 or .410 then you could up the price to around $600.

I bought a 20 gauge 870 Skeet with a superb piece of wood that was in excellent condition a little over a year ago from a member on this site. The price was $400 and I was very pleased with it.

I bought it with the intention of selling to a very good friend who was looking for one. Had he not wanted I'd have been happy to keep it and only sold it to him on the condition that if he no longer wanted it I had right of first refusal.

I don't believe this gun has seen alot of action. I know my buddy put a few hundred through it but cosmetically it looks very lightly used.

I guess we'll see when it hits the EE later this week.
