how much is too much

I have some 270 cases that are trimmed down past the specific size.
The book shows that they should be trimmed to 2.530 max case length is 2.540. I have some that are at 2.525 and some at 2.520-2.520 Should these be thrown away or are they still safe to use?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

That's only .010 thou less than trim length, not enough to worry about.

I agree, load 'em up and wait for them to stretch At 2.520~2.525, it'll probably take at least 5 reloads before the cases stretch enough to be trimmed. Depending on the rifle, of course Just subtract 0.010" from your seating depth on the bullet to maintain the same cartridge OAL and keep pressures down. Enjoy!

I trim all my brass at least .01" shorter than minimum so I can fire it more before trimming....fire away....
