I Sent off my non-restricted application back in January, they recieved it on January 23rd and nearly 2 months later, its still being processed. Does it take it typically take 45 days AFTER BEING RECIEVED, or does it have the 28 day waiting period, then 45 days of processing/work afterwards? And If There is a problem with the application, will they tell me, or will i have to call to ask for any?

Just need some input, because this is taking a while.

Thank You

Our service standards to process a complete and accurate application are:

* 45 days, including the 28-day legislated waiting period, for a licence application, and 30 days for a registration application.

If you have not received information concerning your application within those time frames, please call 1 800 731-4000 and one of our client representatives will check the reason for the delay.

PAL Renewal

Phone the CFC and get ransferred to your provincial CFO. I waited 2 1/2 months for my new licence, finally phoned and talked to Sask CFO, and had my PAL in 1 week.

It does take a while, my experience living in Alberta has been that it takes about 55 days before you'll have the PAL in your hands. Calling never hurts, but checking online does too.

I called the CFO on the 40th day and 7 days later I had my PAL in hand. Oh and the girl asked if I had called before she asked this in A snobby way, when I said no she was all happy again and my PAL was on it's way
