how much should someone charge

i was looking into refinishing some guns in my spare time like rust removal and stock finish and cleaning and i was just wondering how much a guy should charge for something like that.

There are too many variables to quote a price. The condition before, the amount of labour involved in that particular job and the quality of your work are a few of them with the latter being of upmost importance.

+1..I came to that conclusion pretty quick. You almost have to go on a gun by gun basis with a base price. That's the direction I'm going to try.
It's all a big learning curve.
