how much to go from 7/08 to 284

Using the same barrel,just getting the chamber reamed out....what am I or would I be looking at for costs ?...a ballpark idea is close enuff

Do you want the barrel set back to hide the printing and stamp the new caliber.. ? Depending on who is doing it... my guess would be from $125 to $175. There will be no magazine work... it will either work or not... something you can check now.

Yea, something like that i wouldn't charge a full chambering as I don't need to thread it.
I like Guntech's prices. Depends on how long it takes with how much indexing.

Have you considered 280AI?

Same amount of work.

Get an '06 magazine and cut back the bolt stop.

I would want an '06 mag for the 284 anyway.

Either 284 or 280AI would work.

Yes, I recently did a .284 and the long action/mag works best especially if you plan on seating bullets out and taking advantage of case capacity.
