A friend of mine is retiring from hunting after having a stroke a couple of years age. He has recovered quite well and is enjoying life without hunting.

He has asked me to find out what his firearms are worth. These are the ones I am interested in purchasing. I would like to pay him a fair price for these. One I am purchasing for personal reasons, another to just use, and not have to worry if it gets beat up, and the last one just because I like it.

The firearms are:

STEVENS MODEL 325-A 30-30 CAL bolt action center fire rifle, iron sights only, the stock does not have a lot of dents and scratches, but has characteristic wear marks from handling while sitting on stands or still hunting, bluing where stock has not covered rifle is very faded. Always stored in soft case with a light oiling. Manufactured by Savage Arms U.S.A.

COOEY MODEL 64 .22 CAL L.R. semi automatic rim fire rifle. Iron sights only, worn safety, the stock is dented and scratched, varnish is cracked and chipped, bluing is faded. Stored unprotected with a light oiling. Manufactured by Winchester Western in Canada.

STEVENS MODEL 240 break action, over/under, .410 bore, 3in. chamber shotgun, dual hammer & trigger, no safety, the stock is made of molded plastic and has a lot of scratches, storage compartment in stock is missing and butt plate is cracked and part of it is missing, bluing is somewhat faded. Stored unprotected with a light oiling. Manufactured by J.Stevens Arms U.S.A.

Other rifles he is selling:

Lee Enfield No.1 Mark 3 .303 British CAL bolt action center fire rifle, iron sights only, stock is typical with wood still on barrel, no bayonet, Manufactured by Birmingham Small Arms (BSA)

COOEY MODEL 4 break action, single shot, 410 bore, 3in. chamber shotgun, single hammer, no safety, the stock is dented and scratched, varnish is cracked and chipped, bluing is faded. Stored unprotected. Manufactured in Coburg, Ontario Canada. (Some Rust)

COOEY MODEL 840 break action, single shot, 12ga, 3in. chamber shotgun, single hammer, no safety, the stock is dented and scratched, varnish is cracked and chipped, bluing is faded. Stored unprotected. Manufactured in Coburg, Ontario Canada. (Some Rust)

Does anyone want to hazard a guess at what fair prices would be.

Photos can be seen on my web site.

I cannot comment on the ones I dont know about but the cooey model 64, I wouldnt give him any more than $75. as you can get em for fairly good condition for $80-100. Depending on the bore condition for the sporterized enfield, I find them locally for around the $120-$140 ish mark and on CGN i see them listed in the $160-$180 area for a sporter model.

300 for the 30-30.
120 for the Cooey, IF it has the clip. 75 if it doesn't have a clip.
I'm guessing on the over/under, 180.

Full wood LeeEnfields go for around $350 ish. That 410 would be a neat addition to anyones collection.
