how often do you dump your tumbling media

Other than my media getting dirty and it takes awhile to get things clean, was wondering how often do you folks change out your media? Or do you just keep topping it up, currently using the Lyman green treated walnut shells.

I change it when it starts taking over 4 hours to clean the brass. I use extra fine untreated corn cob with no additives or preservatives

If it doesn't clean the brass in 4 hr out it goes. Crush walnut from sand blasting supply store = cheap

Mind you, my 'medium' is a solution of hot water, Sunlight detergent and conc lemon juice used in a Thumbler tumbler.
