How old is my wingmaster?

I recently came to own a older wingmaster serial #V12###xV and I'm wonderring how old it is and if an aftermarket barrel will fit it. Any wingmaster specialists care to help point this winchester and browning heathen towards the light?

As Remington via their website, they know best. My serial numbers starts with a 3 and its a 58/59. You should be good on barrels, but they will need a ball detent on the front of the mag tube mount ring to lock on, newer ones use a ratchet inside the tube instead. Barrels that lack the detent can have one added.

I emailed Remington customer service with my receivers serial number and got a answer back a couple hours later with a year made. The email used was info @ remington. com
