Hi fellow gunnutz, I just want to get you opinion about the Norico ammunition. I'm planning to invest some money to the Norinco brand ammo but I am not sure how reliable they are. I've purchased some Winchester .45 ACP 230 Gr FMJ from Alflaherty for $42 for 100 rounds, it's good but again if I can save some money for the same quality that my money can buy I will try it. Is there any place else that I can get cheaper ammo? Thanks.

canada ammo, $329 for norinco 45 per 1000 rounds + tax, shipping included ~$35-36/100

better yet, reload, can get it down to ~$25+ / 100

I've almost gone through my first 1000rds of Norinco .45, they all went bang, reasonably accurate. Only downside is they are very sooty.

There is a 3 page thread on this topic 4 threads down from this one.

It's good stuff. A little dirty, but otherwise decent ammo.

+1 for reloading, using berry's it's $20/100 or using cast its down to $6 for 100. obviously depends on what you pay for lead.

I like it, don't find it much dirtier than most. I ordered a ton from can ammo, I have very many .45acp mouths to feed....

norinco 45 acp excellant

have gone through 2000rds NOT NO PROBLEM!!!! cleaning is a snap.. 8 min in the ultra sonic , drip dry , lube and onto the 3rd thousand, when complete .. i reload them all with .04+ .000(free leads)+ 0456(for powder)= 8.56/100...brass was paid for the first time..and is not included... 3000rds takes about 6hr include beverages to reload...

NO PROBLEM WITH THIS NORINCO :HFU::cheers:

I've heard that the brass isn't good for reloading so...

I've seen some dud rounds in the box but it was 1 out of 50 so it wasn't a big deal It wasn't my ammo eather so I was happy to shoot free ammo..

It's not the cleanest ammo around that's for sure...

I've shot a little over 1000 rounds of it in my Glock 21. I had 8-10 light strikes. I'm not sure if it is the gun or the ammo. More than half of these fired after trying again. A couple didn't. A couple I didn't retry. I had one case "burst." Well maybe burst is too extreme of a word, but it was more than a crack in the case. There was no damage to the gun. The brass just looked pretty messed up.

I've got another 1000 that I plan on shooting. When that is gone I'll probably buy another 1000.
