I'm wanting a conversion kit for my XCR in 223 so I can use it for deer/bear hunting and because the only conversion kit available right now that I would have an interest in is the 6.8SPC 11 I am now considering a 6.8SPC 11 conversion kit for it.

But I have a few questions

How reliable are the XCR 6.8 mags that come with the kit are they the same ones that come with the complete rifle are there better mags available from another manufacturers?

What kind of accuracy are you getting?
If I go for this kit which dies do you recommend?

What are the best mags here in Canada semi-auto's have to be pinned to a max of 5 rounds unless the mag is designed for a handgun

What reloading dies do you recommend?

Any thoughts... etc etc etc... :)

Barrett makes caliber specific mags in 6.8, as do a lot of manufactures. I have not seen many restricted to 5 rounds though.

10percentfirearms.com has some interesting mags for 5.56, they have extra coils added to the spring to make a 10rd fit only 5. Since it is not lanced or pinned, would this still be considered legal in canada??

PS 10percentfirearms only ships orders over $300, anything else you have to pick up in california.

Also see this site for info on 6.8, and mags http://demigodllc.com/~zak/firearms/6.8SPC/faq.phphttp://demigodllc.com/~zak/firearms/6.8SPC/faq.php
