Hi guys
I've allways been told that a lever gun should only use a round type bullet as the bullets are seating on the primers when in the mag tube.I don't know how true this is but imo I don't like haveing a pionted bullet seating into the primer when I'm holding and firing the gun. This might just be me but it does make sence when you think about it.I gave my son my 30-30 and want to get him good shells but just don't like the sounds of what I said above.
Thanks, 88

That round was designed specifically FOR lever-actions; the "point" is a soft plastic, soft enough that it won't set off the primer in front of it, but still hard enough that it gives the bullet a better aerodynamic shape for flight during its trajectory.

The lever-revolution bullets were designed so you could have a pointed bullet in a tube mag. I can't say one way or the other if they are safe, but they were designed for that very purpose.

I haven't seen the Leverevolution in person, but I did read an article about it. It would be perfectly safe to use in a tube magazine. The tips of the bullets are soft and have some "give" to them.... the pointy tips compress to a certain extent in other words. They are made of different material than say what Nosler Balistic Tips or Hornady V-Max are made of.

I have read up on this ammo and from what I read they dropped a rifle with a full tube on its butt from 20 ft up onto hard concrete in varying temperatures as low as -30 (may be lower i'm not totally sure) with no mishaps other than the rifle being ruined. put it this way in this days climate of every one sueing everybody for every thing. they had to make darn sure it was very safe.

Ammo

I have seen this ammo and it will work fine in a lever gun that's what it was designed for. And I'm sure it's been through many vigorous test so they won't have a law suit launched against them. The stuff is pricey!
