How tall of front sight for skinner receiver on Henry?

Could someone tell me what height of front sight blade I need off of skinner sights webpage to use with their receiver mounted aperture sight? The rifle its going on is a Henry H001 .22lr.

I bought the tallest one they had (0.5") and then had to file it down. I can measure it and let you know later today.
I found the brass sight almost becomes invisible due to glare coming off it. I tried covering the sight hood opening, ended up drawing a rough file across the top, front and back of the sight to make "ridges".

Thanks for the feedback, that would be great if you could let me know what you ended up filing yours down to. I see skinner has the heights in .400", .450", .500", and .600". Did you go with the 3/8" wide base? I'm actually ordering these sights for a buddies rifle so I don't have it at my house to see what the standard base width is on the Henry rifles.

Hi,
Sorry for the late reply. I did measure the sight finally. It is a 3/8" base and it is 0.408" tall from the top of sight to the bottom of dovetail. I am using a black/gold rear sight. I ordered the small and large apertures, ended up with using only the medium. Small is too fine and large is well....too large.
I actually had Skinner supply me a metal front sight base for the Henry as mine was plastic. They sent the brass front sight mounted on the metal front sight base.
Very easy to deal with people at both Henry and Skinner.
