how the hell do you remove the norc 1911 ambi safty?

I look at a couple video on youtube but I must be missing something, any tips?

When you are at that step, grips off, the right side rotates down, then you can pull it off.

The right end has a lip in it. Rotating safety clears it. Then pull the left side out in the usual way. Pull hard while you wiggle.

On safe or fire?

The hammer should be almost in the cocked position, the safety should be in between safe/fire....watch for the plunger launching across the room.
