How tight can I make it?

I have a Browning SA-22. As you know, it is a take-down semi-auto which is great for cleaning and packing. It currently has a cantilever mounted Leupold 2-7 scope. Here's my question. Can I tighten up the take down feature to remove the "slop" in the joint or do they always twist slightly in the hand when torquing the forend and buttstock? I can't believe this looseness doesn't affect accuracy. I have adjusted it once, but I'm curious to hear other owners experience with the gun.
Cheers and thanks for taking the time...

The three that I have owned I could tighten up rather snugly.
If you over adjust, they won't marry up.
Find the sweet spot and make sure your lock does engage.

Rock solid on mine for years now.

Should not be any slop.

Try the knob....don't worry....it only takes a click or two.
