how to become a gunsmith??

In 1966-67 I took a two year course in Trinidad, Colorado at the gunsmithing school where P.O. Ackley once taught.

I would highly recommend you get a steady job and use that to support any efforts in gunsmithing. It will take a long time before a job of gunsmithing would provide enough income to support one person, let alone a family. It is even better if your wife has a good job as well.

You will need to know how to run a lathe so a job as a machinist would be an excellent start.

Agreed. First become a competent machinist and then worry about becoming a competent gunsmith ;)

It's best to find a great gunsmith and spend gobs of money with/on him so he gives you smoking hot deals on guns and parts.
