Hi does anyone have a tapco 20 round sks mag blocked to 5? How was it done and can you post a couple of pics? Specifically where does one place the rivet or whatever? Thanks in advance.

I have a couple.
I'll dig em up and take a picture with a ruler.
The rivet was placed on one side a couple of inches down. It means you cannot remove the follower or spring.

Sorry it took so long it was my birthday on the 19th and I ended up in my cups.

Heres two differently pinned mags. The one on the right is pinned to high and it only holds 4. The one on the left with the raised rivet holds the proper 5.

This should go to show you that it's a fine line. The two rivets are different types. I think I'm going to try to fix the one that doesn't hold enough. I'm going to Can tire to look at rivets this week.

They are for a regular SKS's hence the duckbill.
I bought them last year from a fellow called TW25B.
Great guy, pinned the first one wrong so I got 2 for the price of one.
They are very common in the states, I think we should have a Tapco dealer up here but I haven't heard of one.

You can order from SKSman, but he won't ship reg-cap mags to Canada...if you are close to the 49th parallel (most Canadians are) get a US post office box, get the mags shipped there, and take your drill and rivet gun when you go pick them up. If they are pinned when you go through CBSA you are in the clear.
