Go to your local hockey equipment store and buy a roll of flex tape in white. It is a spongey tape that streaches and only sticks to itself. A roll will cost you about $5.00.

I have used the gun and bow tape that you can get at the hunting shops but it does not streach and fit well on the round parts of your rifle and scope. (waist of cash in my mind)

How do you call a jackrabbit? Do you use a dieing coyote cry?

I use white Duct Tape. Make sure you put a thin film of grease on all your surface metal to prevent any condensation rust underneath the tape. If your rifle gets wet however, you might want to strip it and clean it just to be safe. The only downside to Duct Tape is the stripping of it. You're left with a bit of a gooey mess stuck to your rifle. I use a rag and some rubbing alcohol to get it off but it takes a bit of work.

This is why I use the flex tape! It will only stick to itself therefore you don't have the glue stuck to your gun. Also when you stretch it the openings will open up ad allow the moisture on the rifle to dry.

Don't use hockey stick tape it will leave a goooooy mess....It is called "FLEX TAPE";) and come in many colors

I have not tried it yet but I think a pair of kids white leotards would work great. They are small and very stretchy. Easy to remove after a day of hunting to allow the gun to dry.

Dont take this the wrong way but............Why????

I hunt jacks a lot over a winter and have yet to find a need for camo.

Do you just sit on the edge of a field and wait for them or do you run them with dogs.

we hunt in a group, usually 3 or 4 guys with shotguns that push and flush out rabbits, and 2 guys farther out with rifles, the guys with rifles stand still and shoot the rabbits that are running towards them

It's also called Vet wrap. Vets use it to conceal wounds on animals. Works good to conceal your weapon to aid in killing animals too.

I would think that hunter orange is required for hunting rabbit . I wear orange anyway and I still get my share of jacks.

Orange is not required, but I always have at least an orange toque on just to be safe.

We get a ton of jokers running around, tresspassing, causing trouble for the local hunters every year. (doing stupid stuff and pissing off the landowners)

If it was just our group of guys in an area, I wouldnt bother with the orange, but you never know when you will run into a group of yahoo's out there.
