when I was out shooting today I found a animal skull (I think its a skunks). So anyways its in good condition expect that its a slight green. Would putting this in bleach clean it up? Any tips?

Thanks, UTAF

Nope, dont use bleach, it will get brittle and turn yellow. If there is still meat on the skull then you should boil it and then brush some peroxide on it to help with whitening. Good luck!

If you know any hairdressers, ask them to pick you up some peroxide for bleaching hair. Much stronger than anything you can get at the store, but I've never been able to buy at a hairdressers supply myself.

...or if your lazy you could just clean it and then buy some matte white paint and spray it. I've done it to a few bear skulls and euro deer mounts and it turns out ok, IMHO.

Ingredients
Hydrogen peroxide, citric acid, water.

I used it from cleaning laundry, cleaning out my snake cages as its not harmful to the snakes, and cleaning bones. I think the price was under $3 for a bottle at any Zehrs in the detergent section

I like the looks of that...what % peroxide is it?
