I'm a little embarrassed to admit is.

First, for the life of me I am trying t find a you tube 'walk through talk through' video on how to disassemble a Walther P99 (AS) but all I am coming p with are friggin air soft videos. I mean their ALL air soft videos... Pretty frustrating.

Could someone who isn't you tube search retarded help me out?
I'm sure I can figure out how to take it a part trial and error but incase there are any wacked out hidden German springs or something I don't wanna risk it.

Second, adjusting sights. I've never adjusted sights on pistols. The ones I've used in the past were all fixed.
I'm shooing low and to the left. I know I need to raise my rear sight and move the front blade to the right (?) but what do I use to move it.
Is there some kinda special tool or do I just tap it with something hard?

Are you talking about a "field strip" or a complete "detail strip".

Field strip is pretty straightforward. It is basically the same as GLOCK. Open the action to make sure nothing is in there. Close it. Decock it (or pull the trigger). Push or pull the disassembly catch (the thing with ridges on it right above the trigger) down on both side. There is at least one vid on Youtube:

The difference between P99 and GLOCK in this regard is that on the P99 you do not have to hold the slide back a bit to work the disassembly catch.

In terms of a "detail strip", I don't recommend it. At least not at this point in your ownership of the firearm.

To adjust the sights... replace the front sight with a different height sight to adjust elevation. The gun should come with 5 (I think) different heights. If not you are going to have to try and order them from somewhere. They just push out from the bottom and push in from the top.

The screw on the rear sight only adjusts windage. Clockwise moves point of impact left. Counter-clockwise moves point of impact right. One "click" = 1/16 of an inch at 25 yards.

You're a man among men, thank you very much :)

I totally had the sights backwards. Assumed it was like a rifle. Read sight raises/lowers mpi.
Anywhow thanks!

The front sight should have a small set screw in it to lock it into place, the P99 should have included the required hex key to remove it. Also be aware the rear sight adjustment screw is a left hand thread screw.
