I guess this is really the opposite of reloading but I have some partial containers of powder that I no longer use. Does anyone know the safe & proper way to dispose of it? It would be great if I could find someone who would use it but I don't know of too many reloaders.

Any suggestion?

well my first option would be to try and sell it or give it away. if i couldn't do that then yes i would use it as fertilizer for the lawn. if you wanted to go the flasher route and burn it lay it out in a long string and ignite one end. i had about a cup full of assorted powders in a plastic baggie that i throw on the fire and the resulting flame from the burn was quite impressive especially with Cathy climbing over the back of her chair :}

Put an add in the EE and give it away. That's what I did with a 1/2# of IMR 800X I didn't want.

If it's still OK, give it to someone that will use it. If not, soak it in water and it will break down into a mush. Add some more water and spread it on the flower bed or lawn. If you're living in an apartment, flush it down the toilet in small amounts. Don't do this if you're on a septic tank.
If you're going to burn it, lay it out in a line before setting it on fire. No, it won't go "BANG". It will burn for quite a while.

One 24th of May my son put on a respectable fireworks display. For the finale I set in a pile 8# of Accurate 2230 and lit it. The resulting column of fire was VERY impressive, about twenty feet high, lasting maybe ten seconds and the heat and light has to be experienced to be believed. :D
