How to distinguish x39 from x54R when in sealed spam cans

Hey so in all my brilliance I took my spam cans of x39 and x54R and stashed then in my closet...... And you'll never guess what happened, I have no idea what is what and I don't want to open them up. Is there a way a guy can tell? Some of my spam cans are just plain green.

So my plan is to weigh them on the bathroom scale.... I figure the x39 will be heavier but I have been wrong about things I knew nothing about before.

Does anyone know what a spam can of x39 weighs?
Does anyone know what a spam can of x54R weighs?

Any help or info would greatly be appreciated!

Do u know how many rounds R in the x39 u bought? That's the only way u can compare them to weight.

Haha, good question. Interesting to know if they will weigh the same weight or will be different considering x39 should have more rounds but the x54r is a bigger cartridge.

If the cans have absolutely no markings, then I think you are right in thinking the x39 must be a pound or two heavier for the same size of can of x54.

My scale reads 23.2 lbs for a spam can of 440 rounds of 54R.

Each spam can has its own markings and quantities. None of surplus spams will be completely without markings so.
x39 usually has 700 rds to the can so look for 700
x54 has 440 rds to the can so look for 440

My unopened spam can of 700 rounds of X39 weighs 28.5 pounds.
Unopened 440 round can of x54 weighs 24 pounds.

So I figured it out after I weighed them and had the realization the number on the cans of x54R where all marked "440" which makes sense, 880 in a case. I don't know why I never put that together and the other stuff had a sticker under the spam cans in the case that said Romanian 7.62x39 620rnds...... Slightly embarrassing! But thanks for all he help!!
