I've been wondering how one goes about finding out what kind of stock they should look for that fits them better then most. I'm not talking so much the LOP as much as something that fits better then another (lets you sight in immediately vs. other stock types). I'm hoping perhaps there are some tips that can/will be useful aside from buying rifles with the different stock types before I find something that just seems right compared to everything else I've ever used.

speaking of LOP, do the rules change any when it comes to a rifle and sighting in on a scope then what you do for a shotgun?

Close your eyes, shoulder the rifle and open your eyes. Where are the sights? If you have to move your head a lot to use the sights the rifle doesn't quite fit you. It'll be somewhat different with and without your hunting coat on.
"...do the rules change..." Which rules? Iron sights are adjusted the same way on any firearm. the rear sight is moved in the direction you want the group to go. If you're adjusting the front sight, not often on a hunting rifle, the sight goes in the opposite direction you want the group to go. Bead sights on a shotgun don't get adjusted. A scope is adjusted with the turret screws.
