How To Find Values

Just a question, Is it still ok to ask what guns/ parts are worth here? Seems that some don't like "what's it worth" questions to be asked here and there are not a lot of places to find such answers. I'm not looking to ruffle any feathers but sometimes I like to find out a reasonable value before selling or buying

Post em up. Screw the haters.
I'm always interested to see what's out there and lend a hand when I can.
I post items to find values at times as well.

BTW the haters aren't going to buy regardless so don't worry about them.

As long as your post does not have any reference to WTS then the mods should have no issues. Anyone else that whines, well, this is CGN......

Pics are always better.

I'd like to ask Qs about the value of some of my firearms as well - just to update the data base I keep on them
I have done so and haven't received any flak but in the back of my mind I'm always wondering if some mod will think I'm trying to bypass the EE

I am considering selling a rifle or parts so if I plan to sell something on the EE, is it still ok to ask for a value here before I post it? It might be even better if we could post on the EE and say taking offers, or is it ok to say $1000000 or best offer?

I have heard that so many times. To what end? its just as easy to have a bidding war within the PM system without the mods or other buyers knowing about it.
if we cant ask what the value is, then a seller will post a really high price (now the seller is an a-hole), or he psots it really low (now the seller is an idiot). As it is, i have seen sellers post low, get tons of pm's, pulls the add and low and behold, its back up the following week at a much higher price becuae the seller figured through the volume of pm's that he lsited to low.

It seems people are getting bent out of shape that quite honestly have nothing to do with them, and in the end they or anyone else has no control if someone wants to game the system as they are other ways to do it.
Sick and tired of ####s posting "hey look another auction". If it doesnt concern you, pizz off, if it does concern you (which most likely it doesnt concern you other thna your feelings are hurt for some delusional reason, report the post.

Its still ok to ask, and then post for sale. I beleive there is a rule (maybe?) that once you post for sale, you should ask for the other post to be deleted. However many times, the asking for value post provides a lot of great information form other posters, especially with milsurps, which quite hoenstly shoudl stay up. Taking offers is against the rule, but a rule that doesnt seem to be enforced. Lol to the $1M or best offer! I have thought the same thing in the past. Its not breaking any rule, but it is gaming the system.

Looking at some of the stuff getting posted
- Might just as well...

If someone wants to buy the stuff you just listed within minutes, it's either
- The price was too low
- The price was right
- The price might have been high, but the right buyer happened to be browsing and wanted yours
