Here is the fix:

Last time I cleaned and reassembled my glock, I noticed that I was having a few issues, but could not tell why.
Some FTF, and the slide wouldnt close the last 3mm until I let go the trigger. Weird.

Found a fix online:

When reassembling the slide, sometimes, the firing pin safety (the plunger) spring will not stay in the hole in the center of the plunger. It will drop out of the hole when reassembling, and get stuck on the lip of the plunger, and angle inside the frame.
The gun still works, cycles properly when dry, seems to fire ok, looks like everything is ok, but you get this issue.

How do you know? Well, just remove the slide, and gently press the plunger with a q tip or any soft tool. It should move in freely with just some tension. When I tested mine, it would just not go in completely, it was VERY hard to press.

I disassembled this, reassembled, and now it's back to butter smooth.

So now, every time I disassemble the slide to clean, I will make sure that this plunger is smooth on it's spring, and that it works to release the firing pin or block it. Just test with your fingers. If it works, you are ok to go.

I have had this exact problem with my G17 gen4. Couldn't figure out what was causing it. I will try this for sure. Thanks for sharing!

If i can add an other tip. While you have the slide in hand. Press the firing pin safety plunger with a finger and shake the slide back and foward. You should hear the firing pin moving freely inside his channel. If you do not hear the firing pin, the firing pin channel is dirty or the safety plunger is not reassembled correctly. The firing pin channel must be kept clean and dry (no lube).
