How to improve a spare AR15 trigger

I have a spare AR15 trigger set after replacing the trigger in my WK180C.

The trigger is a little better than when I first purchased it but still has a break of circa 4.5kg

I was wondering what simple things I could do to improve this trigger for future use now that it is no longer contained within the rifle. I am no gunsmith or mechanic so the simpler the better.

Hopefully this thread might be of some use to others with spare triggers.
 
It is very easy to do.

Go slow, use the correct tools, and minor changes can make big improvements.

The key areas are the mating surfaces. Make sure they have no burrs or gritty areas.

Use jewelers files to clean the edges, and keep the corners sharp.

For the trigger spring, you can lighten it slightly, or buy a thinner and lighter one pretty cheap.
 
I've heard of the use of "stones"

Without spending what I imagine will be more than the value of a new trigger on jewelers files or stones what other means are there that we could possibly improve an out of rifle trigger?
 
I once used a buffing wheel to polish the sear surfaces on an old trigger. Made marginal improvements, but frankly for the mere investment of 100 bucks, get an ALG ACT and be done with it.
